The blog title "sam says..." is, yes, an appropriate title because the content is made of things that I say. However, Meaning #2 is derived from a nickname given to me by some particular friends (the ones with the crescents and pearls)...
Brief, yet necessary, elaboration: Of the 50 people living in my house in college, three of us had the name Samantha, although none of the three were actually referred to by "Samantha." My nickname "Says" is an abbreviation of my exhaustingly lengthy last name. Pronounced "seis," like the Spanish word for six.
In case it wasn't clear how clever I am.
